SACRED JOURNEYS explores the mythic Hero’s Journey within the context of dreamscapes.
In most myths a hero leaves behind the common day and enters a world of supernatural wonder where fabulous forces are encountered:
“a distant land, a forest, a kingdom underground, beneath the waves, or above the sky, a secret island, lofty mountaintop or profound dream state
but it is always a place of strangely fluid and polymorphous beings, unimaginable torments, superhuman deeds, and impossible delight” -Joseph Campbell
The hero is lured away from frequented paths and the adventure is always and everywhere a passage beyond the veil of the known into the unknown.
The Journey relies on the elements of Nature as obstacles & passageways: crossing seas, climbing mountains, wandering thru mists and fog.
